Goal 1 Conclusion

I went into this section of my ELI dreading it, and came out laughing!  Who knew that the history of pies could be so amusing!  I have to admit that I am quite tempted now to purchase some finches for the soul purpose of making a pie with live birds inside it... but that sounds like a bit too much trouble to go to for just a moment of laughter.  Regardless of all that, I am happy that I decided to look into the history of pies.  They have been around MUCH longer than I would have ever though; and I had no idea that everyone else thought of pies as being meat pies as opposed to our sweet pies... What a surprising world we live in!
